Who is SJL Painting?

SJL Painting has been owned and operated by Steve Ley since 1990. Beginning as a solo contractor in 1990, Steve’s reputation for quality and consistency quickly spread around Auckland. As the size and scale of projects grew, he focused on building a talented team of painting professionals to continue delivering on that reputation.

In 2025, Steve continues to oversee all SJL Painting projects directly, and you’ll still find him on-site most days, brush in hand. No need to worry about chasing project managers on the phone.
